The Problem
The presidential mandate New Freedom Initiative was created by President George Bush in 2001, was a "nationwide effort to remove barriers to community living for people of all ages with disabilities and long term illness."
CTi's Contribution

- Created a centralized portal for federal, state, and local disability-related information for the public .
- CTi’s IT Governance team provided comprehensive support to ODEP.
- Drawing on CTi's in depth knowledge of 508/Accessibility regulations, delivered a 508/Accessibility compliant website.
- Ensured security of the web portal through secure design and implementation methodologies.
The Result
Due to CTi's efforts in guiding and assisting with building Disability.gov, DOL/ODEP earned recognition for an "exemplary e-Gov initiative", (OMB, FY2006 Report to Congress).
