| CTi is awarded an 8(a) contract from US Department of Labor
HERNDON, VA – January 1, 2004 — Cascades Technologies (CTi)
is awarded a small business contract from US Department of Labor (DOL) to provide
web services to manage DOL.gov (http://www.dol.gov)
on behalf of the Office of Public Affairs. The site consists of over 150,000
documents supporting approximately 12.5 million visitors each month. CTi will
be developing and supporting 20+ web applications for the Department. CTi will
evaluate, design, develop, test, and implement new web solutions for DOL. CTi will
also provide search engine implementation using Fast, traffic analysis using
WebTrends, direct support to DOL webmasters, and recommendations on standards
and improvements in the areas of accessibility, usability, and performance.
Following DOL standard for Web application development, CTi will
use tools including SQL Server, IIS, Active Server Pages, ODBC, HTML, XML, PDF,
Perl, CGI, Visual C++, API, and JavaScript. Content development tools include
Adobe Photoshop and Acrobat Suite, Flash, and DHMTL.
