HERNDON, VA – February 7, 2004 — Local technology company Cascades Technologies was recently honored by the Herndon Dulles Chamber of Commerce as the Technology Business of the Year. The award was presented at the Chamber's annual Awards gala, held on February 7th at the Westfields Marriot.

Business Growth in the Last 3 Years:
During 2001 and 2002, CTi enjoyed a consistent and steady customer base. In 2003, CTi saw its greatest jump nearly doubling its revenue and its staff during this period.

In the first quarter of 2004, CTi has already doubled it's staff and it's revenue yet again. Alfredo Casta, President and CEO, attributes this to staying focused on the customer needs and ensuring that all expectations are met. In doing so, CTi has gained the trust of its customers, which has lead to continued support services and new projects.

Recognition within Industry:
In the 2002 HDCC Awards Gala, CTi was presented with the Outstanding Small Business Award for its contributions to the Chamber. They included participation in leadshare groups, supporting the Chambers web hosting services, and integrating the CTiResume Center into Chamber's web site to assist local job seekers find jobs and Chamber member employers find employees.

Community Outreach:
Because CTi had a wonderful 2003, for this year's Holiday Party, all invited were asked to bring an unwrapped toy. These toys were delivered to the Herndon Police department for distribution to kids in our community. These toys were distributed on Christmas day making it possible for kids to receive a present they otherwise wouldn't.

In November 2003, CTi was contacted by Vecinos Unidos/United Neighbors Inc., an after-school program in an economically distressed section of Herndon, to assist with computer related issues. Vecinos Unidos was also looking for office automation software and CTi has pledged to donate Microsoft Office and install additional software in support to this organizations mission.
