Cascades Technologies Recognized as One of Virginia's "Fantastic 50", Ranked 20th

HERNDON, VA – April 27, 2006 — Cascades Technologies, Inc. (CTi), an SBA 8 (a) federal government IT services company, announced today that it has been recognized by the Virginia Chamber of Commerce as one of the state's fifty fastest growing companies.

The Honorable Aneesh P. Chopra, Secretary of Technonogy, Commonwealth of Virginia served as the keynote speaker at the ceremony and presented the awards. Secretary Chopra was appointed by Governor Tim Kaine and is Virginia's Fourth Secretary of Technology. "We are very honored to receive this award from the Virginia Chamber of Commerce on behalf of the Governor", said Alfredo Casta, Cascades Technologies' President and CEO. "It is evidence of the fact that our commitment to focusing on our customers' needs and delivering solutions that truly meet their requirements is the right thing to do in Virginia".

The Virginia Chamber of Commerce announced the annual "Fantastic 50" list of 50 of the fastest growing companies in the state earlier this month. The winning companies were saluted at the annual awards banquet held at the Westfields Marriott in Chantilly on April 27. This year marks the eleventh year of the Fantastic 50 program!

Nominations for the "Fantastic 50" come from across the Commonwealth. The program is limited to privately held firms, headquartered in Virginia, with annual revenues of between $200,000 and $100 million. Contestants are judged on a four-year revenue history. Ranked 20th up from 32nd last year on the list, Cascades Technologies grew 307% in the period from 2000 to 2003. The company sees itself on a continued growth path and is working hard to remain in the "Fantastic 50".
