The Blast Injury Research Program facilitates the exchange of vital research among public and private research programs studying Blast Injury. Cascades delivered a web portal for sharing vital information among research groups, including the government, academic researchers, and information for the public.
Cascades responded quickly to secure all web-based legacy applications of the Department of Labor primary public website, DOL.gov, provided a full solution for improving DOL.gov's security against hackers, and retrained DOL employees and contractors on how to minimize the risk of a network security breach.
Section 508/Accessibility Compliance
Presidential mandate "New Freedom Initiative" required the Department of Labor to provide a centralized portal for Federal, State, and Local disability-related information for the public. Cascades developed and maintained the business case and developed the website as a 508/Accessibility compliant website.
Cascades delivered a complete web portal and content management solution to the General Services Administration (GSA) and its websites: USA.gov, GobiernoUSA.gov, and Consumidor.gov. This support includes web development, design, bilingual content management, accessibility and Section 508 compliance, and usability.
The U.S. Department of Labor, Wage and Hour Division (WHD) required an iPhone application which would allow the American public to track their working hours. Cascades collaborated, designed, developed, and deployed the mobile solution - DOL Timesheet, an iPhone application that allows them to do exactly that.
Our partner, Computer Sciences Corporation (CSC), needed to support the NC MMIS (North Carolina Medicaid Management Information Systems) by developing a Project Management Office (PMO) compliant with the Capability Maturing Model Integration (CMMi) standard. CSC, Inc. called on Cascades to build and implement the system, enabling the NC MMIS to realize savings in it's PMO operations.
